Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Palioo, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service.

Description of Service

Palioo is a communication and sharing platform designed for groups, families, and organizations to stay connected. Our services include:

• Space creation and management for your circles
• Communication tools (posts, updates, messages)
• Activity tracking and logging
• Photo and media sharing
• Real-time notifications
• Profile management for Pals

Account Registration

To use Palioo, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or remove content at our discretion.

Account Types

Palioo offers two account types:

• Viewer: Can view and follow updates in Spaces they're invited to
• Creator: Can create Spaces, post updates, and manage Pals

You can choose your account type during registration. Some features are only available to Creator accounts.

User Responsibilities

As a Palioo user, you agree to:

• Use the service only for lawful purposes
• Not upload harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Respect the privacy of others in your circles
• Obtain necessary consents before sharing others' information
• Not attempt to access unauthorized areas of the service
• Not interfere with or disrupt the service
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Content Guidelines

When creating content on Palioo:

• You retain ownership of content you create
• You grant us a license to host, display, and distribute your content within the service
• You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to content you upload
• We may remove content that violates these terms
• Content about minors must be shared responsibly and with proper consent

Prohibited content includes:

• Inappropriate or exploitative images
• Harassment or bullying
• Spam or misleading information
• Copyrighted material without permission
• Malware or malicious code
• Content that violates any applicable law

Subscription and Payments

Palioo offers free and paid subscription tiers:

• Free tier: Limited features and Pal capacity (up to 3 Pals)
• Paid tiers: Extended features and increased Pal capacity

For paid subscriptions:

• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• You can cancel at any time from your dashboard
• Refunds are handled according to our refund policy (30-day money-back guarantee)
• Prices may change with 30 days advance notice

Intellectual Property

Palioo and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Palioo and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission
• Use our branding without written permission
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract our source code
• Create derivative works based on our service

Privacy

Your use of Palioo is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Palioo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to amounts you paid for the service in the past 12 months
• We are not responsible for content created by users

This limitation of liability does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Palioo and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe:

• Violates these Terms of Service
• Is harmful to other users or third parties
• Is fraudulent or illegal

Upon termination, your right to use the service will cease immediately. You may also delete your account at any time from the mobile app.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
